Worst Storm for 17 Years Batters UK

AMG Loss Adjusters and SPRN contractors were last night and this morning responding to large numbers of new claims following the devastating storms which battered the UK throughout yesterday, leading to loss of life, disruption of transport systems and catastrophic damage to property.

Commented Russell Crewe, Director of Operations at AMG,

"This was the most severe storm to hit the UK for over 15 years. Uncharacteristically, large areas of the UK were affected and we are also responding to claims from Scotland following heavy snowfall, which is leading to localised flooding.

We had received advanced warning of this storm and as a result, had been in regular communication with our Insurer Clients to put in place action plans to respond. We saw a dramatic increase in claims received from mid afternoon yesterday and we are committing to ensuring that all claims are visited within 24 hours. We will be working throughout the weekend to respond to the influx of claims and have received similar commitments from our SPRN contractors. The Industry response has been magnificent and we will work closely with our Clients and their Customers to help to restore normality at the earliest possible opportunity".
