AMG Opens new Midlands Office

AMG is delighted to announce the opening of a new state-of-the-art Regional Office in the Midlands to accommodate its continuing expansion in the area.
The Midlands region as a whole has grown in line with the remainder of AMG and this expansion is set to continue with growth in claim numbers from both new and existing Clients. In addition, the Company has increased its headcount following its recent acquisitions: Sigma Claims Solutions, a specialist liability adjusting business and Carr Greenwood Smith, a specialist commercial property claims adjuster.
AMG has invested heavily in the new premises, offering nearly three times the floor area of the previous offices. The new office will contain the best facilities and technology available and it is ideally placed to utilise the motorway networks in the vicinity. The office will provide a base for the following teams:
- AMG adjusters currently based in Cannock and Nottingham
- National Subsidence Unit
- Specialist Adjusting Unit
- Special Investigation Unit
- Sigma liability adjusters currently based in Stafford
In addition, there will be an enhanced training facility on site and the building will become AMG's Disaster Recovery location.

Ian Maudsley has been appointed IT and Projects Director He is one of the first senior appointments to be made since the company merged the three individual brands - AMG, Carr Greenwoods Smith (CGS) and Sigma Claims Solutions - to become Merlin Professional Claims Services on June 6th 2008.

Chris Wilshere has been appointed to head up the specialist liability loss adjusting business, Merlin Liability, formerly Sigma Claims Solutions, with immediate effect. Chris, who was previously UK Liability Manager at Crawford & Co, has been with the company since January 2004. He succeeds fellow directors Simon Burley and Owen Gorman who leave next year to pursue other interests.
