Children In Need

03/12/2008

We are delighted to report that, as last year, staff and supplier partners have responded magnificently this year in their efforts to raise money for the Children in Need Appeal.

At the time of writing we have collected just under two thousand pounds with more to be collected over the coming weeks.

The Charity team comprising Nat Goodheart, Janet McGrath, Debbie Arnold, Hazel Dalton, Rhonda White, Jenny Sniders, Laura Williams, Mhairi Choruschyj and Jenny Durrans, worked tirelessly and with massive enthusiasm and put together a series of events, cajoling and bribing various staff members and contractors from the Networks to take part.

Most AMG Group offices got involved, with Head Office and North West & North Wales proving to be a hot bed for organisation and money raising.

A quiz run organised by Janet McGrath was the top revenue generator and proved to be a real teaser. Many congratulations to the winners DENTON'S DAZZLERS of Contractors DENTON WHISTON who won this difficult competition.

The Holiday Draw and the Raffle proved very successful and fun was had with Kevin Wood and Simon Burley acting as "Tea Ladies" by serving teas and coffees from a trolley to the staff in Head Office and North West & North Wales Office.

One of the more competitive events was the bidding for an evening out with Toby Knight, Regional Manager at our Crawley office, which produced significant numbers of bids from both males and females! The winner tried to keep her bid anonymous having gone to great lengths to persuade someone to bid in her name! Nevertheless, the secret is now out so we won't bother repeating old news in this article. Photographs of the night out may appear on this website, depending on content.

As well as formally acknowledging the efforts of all members of the Charity Committee in giving up their time and energy to support this worthy cause, we would also like to extend a warm vote of thanks to the following people who supplied prizes and support:
