New appointments

Ronan MacGabhann has been appointed Regional Liability Manager for Merlin Liability in the North West.

Ronan was a liability adjuster at Garwyn's since 1990 and left two years ago to further his career. As part of his new remit, Ronan will be managing a team of liability adjusters and technicians.

Ronan explains: "When the opportunity arose to work for such a vibrant company I jumped at the chance. We have been building a very strong team with a mixture of youth and experience for the last two years and we are now in a great position to take the company forward."

Ronan will work from offices in Knutsford and is one of three regional managers including Greig Birrell (North East and Scotland/NI) and Mark Wookey (South and East Anglia). They will report to Chris Wilshere who will head up the specialist liability loss adjusting business.

Ronan is married with two boys and a girl, aged 14, 13 and eight respectively. He lives with his Radiographer wife in Ormskirk near Preston.

Merlin Liability is part of a national group with its headquarters in Bromborough, a group with an ambition of delivering a range of integrated or stand-alone products and services to help insurers manage every step in the lifecycle of their claim, with a clear focus on managing and reducing claims' time and costs.

Ronan concludes: "We have an excellent team with the right mix of experience and youth that can continue together for some time and build on the work we have been doing."
