Merlin opens for business in Belfast

In line with our strategy to provide integrated regional centres of excellence and to have operations in key locations across the UK, we are pleased to announce the opening of our first office in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The Belfast office is superbly situated as it is the prime location for all insurance companies in Northern Ireland as well as being the commercial capital. In addition, it is close to the airport and is in a prime waterfront location at Clarendon Dock. The office will handle the full range of commercial and household loss adjusting and related services.
Leading our new office is Stephen Wright, who has been a loss adjuster for 28 years, and who has been subcontracted to Merlin for six years to manage claims in Ireland. He believes the timing of the new office is perfect: “We’ve seen a steady increase in claims numbers recently,” he says, “and following the sole supplier contract with Legal and General this trend is set to continue. Supporting Stephen in his new role is Brian Crothers, a loss adjuster with over 10 years experience.
“By establishing a dedicated base for Merlin in Belfast, we are well on our way to delivering a truly nationwide claims management operation backed up by the latest technology,” stated Merlin Chief Executive Richard Webster.
The opening of this office helps cement Merlin’s overall development plan to offer a Total Claims Management Service, which is truly nationwide and delivers a first class service.
