Merlin holds it 2009 Staff Conference and Star Ball at Alton Towers

Merlin held its second annual Staff Conference and black tie Star Ball at Alton Towers to review its performance over the last 12 months and present its future strategies.
One of the difficulties this year was finding a venue large enough to accommodate all the Merlin staff attending the event. Marketing Manager, Catherine Hurst, decided upon Alton Towers, which as well as its famous theme park, has two excellent and large hotels and purpose built conference centre that was ideal for the Conference and Ball and the staff.
Presentations we made by the management team at the Conference, which was followed by a black tie Star Ball in the evening. Richard Webster, Chief Executive of Merlin said, “It has been a demanding and exciting year for Merlin and I am a firm believer in sharing what we are doing with our staff. It also provides an opportunity to say ‘thank you’ for their continued support and for everyone to pause for five minutes and celebrate the success that we have so far enjoyed.
