Merlin Wins Another Award for Innovation and Technology
17/05/2010
We’ve done it again! Kevin Wood, Merlin’s Chief Technical Officer, was more than delighted to be called to the stage at The Claims Technology Awards to receive the award in the category of "Most Innovative Use of Software - Claims Management".
Merlin's submission was around how our TCMS model and Xactware optimises the claims process through our Service Centres, Xactware, Loss Adjusting, Surveying skills, and fulfilment via our managed contractor network. We were able to prove to the judges how our unique operating model and Xactware technology has brought significant reduction in indemnity spend, and gives clients and policyholders total transparency of each individual claim, at whatever stage it is in the claim cycle.
Kevin commented, “As the original champion of Xactware for Merlin, it is personally elating for me to see Merlin win yet another award for what continues to be market leading software and our unique and innovative TCMS model”.
The panel of judges consisted of leading industry insiders and representatives of professional bodies providing expertise from across the legal, insurance and claims sectors. The panel comprised: Nicholas Bevan of Enable Law Limited, Don Clarke of Keoghs, Jonathan Gulliford of Co-Op Legal Services, Paul Kitson of Russell Jones & Walker, Alan Nesbit of the Association of Regulated Claims Management Companies (ARC), Joe Pendle of Insurance Services Office (ISO), Eddie Phillips of Equity Redstar, Rob Rowe of Central Law Training and Andrew Twambley of Amelans and InjuryLawyers4U.
More than 250 people attended the black tie awards ceremony which was held at The Lowry hotel, Manchester, and as well as celebrating excellence within claims technology, the event also raised over £1,500 for Manchester based children’s hospice, Francis House.
