Merlin Xpress was launched in May 2010 and is one of our newest services providing scoping and surveying capabilities for buildings and contents insurance claims.
Our team of Xpress Surveyors have significant experience in validating and scoping property claims of all kinds and are focused on trying to ensure that genuine claims are settled as quickly as possible, whilst providing a clear understanding of the options available. This options may included agreeing a cash settlement, to the use of the customer's contractors or even fulfilment through a preferred repair network, which may include Merlin Contractor Services. In many cases where a valid claim is intimated we can validate, scope and agree settlement on the first visit. Where there is not a valid claim each surveyor will where possible, explain the reason why and often look to provide each customer with practical options.
Merlin Xpress Surveyors provide an essential service for any claim validation and support a better customer experience
Merlin Xpress work on property and contents claims through our Service Centres with visits arranged by our central deployment team. Typically these claims range from low value accidental damage to higher value fire, EOW and impact claims. Coupled with the contents validation, their initial visits are an essential part of any claim validation and support a better customer experience. In addition to this, the team are all fully trained in sampling asbestos containing materials thereby increasing the effectiveness of the first visit for the customer and enabling this to be managed more effectively.
Through the use of market leading scoping technology, our surveyors are able to complete their visit whilst on site with the insured. This scoping tool combined with the experience of each surveyor enables accurate and immediate decisions to be made on site and allows clear and friendly information to shared with the customer without delay fully supporting greater visibility and transparency for all parties.
